EMILY

FOUNDER

Dance Classes Sunderland

Emily who founded ELDance, began her training at 16,  on the Advanced Training Programme at Dance City studying Ballet and Contemporary as well as touring the North East. She then went on to further her training at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Commercial, African, Hip Hop, Contemporary and other styles as well as training under famous choreographers like Matthew Bourne, Lavelle Smith Jnr and Dean Lee.

Since graduating Emily has worked as a dancer in the UK and around Europe in Variety Shows, Burlesque Shows and tribute shows such as Michael Jackson and Elvis.

ELDance was created due to there being very little dance classes in Sunderland for adults to attend and for those aspiring to be dancers.

Starting with just one weekly Commercial class, ELDance grew and now offers a varied and diverse timetable for everyone.

"Never believe you cannot, just follow your dreams no matter how small"

summer
Beginners & camp!

Summer has been dancing since she was around 3 years old but if it’s possible to dance in the womb I would have probably started then!

Dance has been a big part of her life from a young age and developed into a great passion of hers.

Training in many styles such as ballet and jazz from a young age, then went on to study dance through college and onto university here in Sunderland.

Summer has been attending ELDance classes since 2017, loving them more and more each week!

Now to be able to teach for Emily here at ELDance is something she looks forward to every week!
